Converting New York time to London time
Set New York as the reference city, then enter the local date and time of your event. The second row shows the corresponding time and date in London. Use the reference selector to convert in the other direction.
Why the date matters
New York follows Eastern Time. Its UTC offset changes between UTC−5 in standard time and UTC−4 during daylight saving time. London and New York change clocks on different dates, so their time difference is not always five hours.
London uses Greenwich Mean Time (UTC+0) in winter and British Summer Time (UTC+1) in summer. Select the actual date of your event to account for clock changes, particularly when comparing with North America.
